FK Baumit Jablonec – FK Mladá Boleslav 1:1 (1:1)

The match between Mladá Boleslav and Jablonec ended for the third consecutive time in an identical tied score 1:1 . Jablonec scored through Pavlík and were a more active team for half an hour. However, the Boleslav players dominated the remainder of the match. They equalised through Řezníček just before the break and missed a number of promising scoring chances after it. They extended their undefeated streak against Jablonec to more than three years, however, they deserved more than only one point on this August evening.

The first half ended in a deserved draw. The Jablonec players started with the more intensive effort and gained the lead in the 6^th minute thanks to Pavlík who with his low struck shot beat Miller’s outstretched arm at the right-hand post. – 1:0.

Mendy ran past both Hamouz and Hloušek two minutes before the break before passing the ball to Řezníček who equalised with a shot along the ground – 1:1.

AC Sparta Praha – FK Mladá Boleslav 1:0 (0:0)

Careful football from both sides, crowned by tripping from Sparta’s Řepka, such was the picture of the first half. Sliding tackles from behind against Pecka and Papadopulos deserved a sending off; however Řepka ended the match with only one booking. The football quality and attractiveness of the visitor’s play grew in the second half, but the goal scored in the net behind Miller ensured Mladá Boleslav started the league season in a similar way to last year, losing 0:1, however, this was not against Viktoria Žižkov on our home pitch.

The Offensive line of FK Mladá Boleslav will be strengthened by twenty-three year old Michal Papadopulos who has transferred from Bayer Leverkusen. He chose to sign with Mladá Boleslav, headed by coach Pavel Hapal, instead of Baník Ostrava and Sparta Prague, who both made offers for the sought after forward. FK Mladá Boleslav’s bosses introduced a significant forward reinforcement at a special press conference held  early evening on Tuesday June 24 in the Prague Holiday Inn hotel. Papadopulos will join his new team in preparation for the next season next Wednesday.

The French player Ludovic Sylvestre has transferred to Mladá Boleslav from Sparta Prague. The player, with experience in the French, Spanish and Czech domestic competitions, should improve the performance of the Boleslav midfield line. He has already appeared in thirty-nine matches of the domestic I. Gambrinus League and scored three times. . He scored all three goals while in a Plzeň shirt where he played on loan in spring this season. Ludovic Sylvestre has signed a four-year contract with FK Mladá Boleslav.

He was introduced as a Mladá Boleslav player for the first time at noon on Thursday June 19, 2008, at a special press conference. After the press conference, he left for Špindlerův Mlýn where head-coach Hapal and the team are staying at a fitness training camp until Saturday.

FK Viktoria Žižkov - FK Mladá Boleslav 1:0 (0:0)

Retaliation was unsuccessful. The Boleslav team lost the return match against their rivals from Žižkov. One goal from a Moughfire shot, Boleslav’s autumn executioner, was sufficient enough to seal the win after it took a lucky deflection and fell to Kalod, unlucky for Boleslav. Despite the fact that the Žižkov players were hard at the ball and player, often outside the rules, leaving the Boleslav players battered, bruised and in pain, there were not any bookings during the match. The defeat knocked Mladá Boleslav down to seventh position in the final standings of I. Gambrinus liga 2007/08.

Mladá Boleslav was the more active team in the first half and even an ankle injury that forced Táborský to be substituted by league rookie Schubert did not change this fact.

FK Mladá Boleslav - SK Slavia Praha 0:2 (0:1)

Slavia Prague, fighting for the championship, fiercely broke the string of spring wins for the Boleslav team. Mladá Boleslav lost at home after five consecutive wins and confirmed the statistical data saying the team collects more points on away pitches than on home turf this season. Boleslav responded to the goals scored by Toleski and Belaid with a goal from Řezníček, however, the referee denied his goal for an alleged offside position. The goalkeeper Vaniak supported the rival with excellent saves in final minutes of the match.

The Slavia players had a successful opening to the match when Toleski, the team’s marksman, directed Belaid’s centred pass from the left wing behind the back of Miller in the 9th minute – 0:1.

The Boleslav players seemed to be out of sorts in the subsequent period whereas the Slavia players relaxed and combined well in the centre of the pitch without any great attacking efforts.

Rajnoch and Řezníček Defeated Teplice

Mladá Boleslav won in Teplice for the first time. Though it did not seem likely in the opening stages of the match. The Teplice players started more actively and the league debutant in the Boleslav goal did not wait long before he made his first save. It was successful, like overwhelming majority of his other saves. He was beaten only by Jun. However it came after Mladá Boleslav led the match through goals by Rajnoch and Řezníček. The Boleslav players resisted the pressure of Teplice and achieved their fifth consecutive win.

The Boleslav players earned a corner kick in the 3rd minute but it did not cause any risk to the Teplice goalkeeper. Šeda saved a free kick from the side line taken by Verbíř in the 5th minute; Smejkal shot at the Boleslav goal from ten meters after good play by Jun in the 10th minute and Šeda made a reflex save.

Boleslav Demolished Plzeň with Three Goals

The Mladá Boleslav players retaliated to a two-goal autumn defeat with an addition. They shot three goals past their rival from Plzeň and except for a short passage in the middle of the first half, they were clearly better and entertained the audience with their offensive performance. The goals by Rajnoch and Hrdlička knocked Plzeň down during a successful first half and the substitute T. Sedláček added the third goal after the break. Moreover, Táborský hit the crossbar. Opiela introduced himself for the first time in front of the home crowd in the Boleslav shirt after long-term recovery from a muscle injury incurred during a winter preseason camp.

FC Tescoma Zlín - FK Mladá Boleslav 0:1 (0:0)

There was a very wet pitch, mud and pools that marshals tried to dry in goal areas in the Letná stadium in Zlín. The ball passed from one player to another swiftly but there were not many scoring chances before the break. The second half brought a more dramatic show and Boleslav the pleasure of an excellent header by Táborský that decided the result of the match. Mladá Boleslav won the third consecutive league match. And repaid Zlín perfectly for the autumn home defeat 0:1. The team moved to the sixth position of the 1st Gambrinus League standings.

A balanced football match was played on the pitch in Zlín in the first half even if the Zlín players got in more dangerous scoring chances in front of the goal.

Miller did not reach a long centre pass by Musil that rebounded from the crossbar of his goal. The Boleslav defenders then managed to get the rebounded ball to a safe distance from their goal.

FK Mladá Boleslav - FC Baník Ostrava 3:1 (2:1)

The Boleslav head-coach Karel Stanner deployed the winning line-up from Liberec without a single change in the spirit of well-proved football wisdom against Baník Ostrava. He did well. The team showed the best performance this year and obtained three points quite deservedly. The players did not surrender even after an equalizing goal conceded from a penalty kick, survived a weak moment while in the middle of the first half and finished the match to a standing ovation from the satisfied Boleslav audience after the third goal. Mladá Boleslav moved to the seventh position of the league standings while Jan Rajnoch with nine goals scored moved to the third position among the league marksmen of this league season.

The Boleslav players started more actively and got the lead in the 8th minute. With a long pass the stopper Procházka found running Řezníček behind the Ostrava defence; the Boleslav forward tried to sidestep the goalkeeper Vašek but was knocked down by him. The referee did not hesitate and ordered a penalty kick. Rajnoch sent it into the Ostrava net resolutely – 1:0.
